There’s a new buzz on our youth farm—literally! We’re excited to announce the arrival of our first two beehives, marking the official launch of our brand-new project: “BEE THE CHANGE.”
What’s the project all about?
Through “BEE THE CHANGE,” we want to help young people discover the beauty and importance of God’s creation in a hands-on, meaningful way. Beekeeping teaches more than just caring for insects—it opens eyes to how intricately life is connected.
Well prepared: Training & First Workshop
Back in June, our youth farm leaders attended a multi-day workshop where they received both theoretical and hands-on training in the art of beekeeping.
In early July, the long-awaited moment arrived: our first bee colonies moved in! Soon after, our team hosted a small introductory workshop with the boys on the farm, where they had the opportunity to take their first steps into beekeeping—carefully, curiously, and with great excitement.
We’re curious to see how this pilot project develops—and who knows, maybe we’ll even get to celebrate our first honey harvest early next year!
What the youth learn through beekeeping:
-
Taking responsibility for living creatures
-
Developing patience, mindfulness, and love for nature
-
Working as a team and supporting one another
-
Gaining hands-on skills and confidence
-
And realizing: even the smallest beings can make a big difference
A project with purpose and heart
Beekeeping isn’t just fun—it nurtures values like respect, sustainability, community, and gratitude. It also leads us to marvel at the beauty and wisdom of God’s creation.
“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31)
Thank you & what’s next
We are so grateful to everyone who has made this project possible—through support, prayer, or practical help. Our bees are already hard at work, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on how things progress.
Stay tuned—and bee the change!
