What We Do

Holistic support for street children and at-risk youth in the Philippines.

At the Heart of Our Work

It is close to our hearts not only to support street children in the short term, but to walk alongside them over the long term. Through practical assistance, education, and personal care, we aim to open up new perspectives for their lives. Rooted in our Christian faith, we believe that every child is valuable and has hope for the future.

At the Heart of Our Work

Outreach Program

Each week, our street workers reach around 500 street children in six high-risk areas of the city. In addition to providing warm meals, we offer medical assistance, personal support, and a children’s program that shares a message of God’s love.

Children's Home

The Nehemiah Children’s Homes provide children from the streets with a safe place to live and a fresh start. We welcome children who have experienced neglect, abuse, or exploitation and who urgently need protection and stability. In a loving, family-like environment, house parents and social workers walk alongside the children as they begin a new chapter in their lives. For many, it is the first real home they have ever known.

Education & School

The Nehemiah School gives children from the streets a new chance. As a state-accredited school, we support them from primary through secondary education, opening up new opportunities through learning. Our school is a place of hope where children can discover their gifts, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Semi-Independent Living

After completing school, we support our young people as they take the step into adulthood. In our supervised shared apartments, they live together, take on everyday responsibilities, and focus on their university studies or vocational training. Our staff continue to walk alongside them, offering guidance with personal matters, career choices, and entering the workforce. Through mentorship, training, and support with job applications, we help them find their own path toward an independent life.

Family Centers

Our Family Centers are open community hubs located directly within high-risk areas. Here, families receive practical support such as access to showers, clothing, and children’s programs. Young people and parents can catch up on their education and receive guidance in finding employment—supporting them on their journey toward an independent life.

Youth Farm

At our Youth Farm, we combine academic learning with hands-on training in agriculture. The young people live on the farm, where they learn responsibility, teamwork, and essential skills for their future. A key focus is the development of their character. At the same time, the food produced supports our feeding programs and children’s homes.
