For over 15 years there has been a good partnership between some schools in Hong Kong and the ministry of CFAI. The students from Hong Kong visited us again and again and after our summer camp this year it was now a team from CFAI who travelled to Hong Kong to visit two partner churches and three partner schools for five days. Our team prepared some presentations.
We were nine teenagers and alumni of CFAI who are now teachers at our Nehemiah School of Opportunities (NSOI). For all of the team this time was a great enrichment. But also for the local partners it was a great blessing, as we found out later. Through the encouragements and life testimonies of our team, many students, teachers and people in the church found new hope and motivation to trust in God even in difficult times. Our young people were able to talk about their hard times on the street and about hopelessness and how God carried them through this time.
Partly in front of more than 1,000 students, our team was able to report how God met them in their need and brought about real change.
During this time, many more doors have opened. And we have seen many human needs in this very prosperous region, where they are in a hectic and stress and yet searching for lasting values.
We are curious to see how this long-standing partnership will develop. At the end of June, another team from a school in Hong Kong will come to visit us to help CFAI in Cebu.
