Street children in conflict with the law often end up in prison. For many this is the lowest point of their life without perspective. After imprisonment, chances to catch up with society are very little.
In Cebu there is a Youth Rehabilitation Center where there are about 200 minors imprisoned. Upon the first impression those teens are really hard and tough. You can read hopelessness in their eyes. Many do not know what life will be after they have served their term.
On a weekly schedule CFAI staff is visiting those young men and women to spend time with them, encourage them and have a bible study. Some are searching for solutions and ask for counselling, since many of them are victims of child abuse. We trust that we can give assistance on their way of recovery and restoration and provide new perspectives for tomorrow.
